AMA Report: Cartesi’s Community

Cartesi AMA Digest Cover

On November 3rd, Atomic’s team had an AMA session with Cartesi, a network that allows developers to use Linux and mainstream software stacks to build scalable and more powerful DApps, in their Telegram Chat.

Our CEO Konstantin Gladych was present in the discussion with the Cartesi community.

Here are the essential points of the AMA session:

Please welcome Konstantin (K), and the questions from the Cartesi Telegram chat members (Q).

About Atomic Wallet, Features & Basic Info

Q: Why would a software wallet be better than others?

K: Well, that’s a great question. Atomic is a non-custodial wallet. Your private keys are encrypted and never leave your local device. It’s a decentralized bank in your pocket, available for mobile and desktop. And trusted by over 500.000 users all over the world. It’s started by a professional team with over 5 years of experience in the crypto market. I was the co-founder of Changelly instant exchange before Atomic.

Q: What are the advantages and disadvantages of Atomic?

K: Atomic is strongly secured. And provides the option to manage over 40 blockchains and any tokens in a single window. We believe we have one of the best interfaces on the market especially for beginners. We have an anonymous instant exchange. Buy crypto. And stake. Also, the support team is super quick. However, I see a lack of integrations of DeFi projects in Atomic. Also, we don’t yet support hardware wallets. Hopefully to improve Atomic next year 😉

Q: How do you evaluate the development of Atomic with the contributions of your partners?

K: Atomic is a basic product. We have many partners, some of them provide services for atomic, like exchange or buy crypto. Others are a community. We usually support the most promising projects, explain to our users the benefits of new assets and new technology. so it’s win-win strategy for everyone! we work on crypto adoption for the mass market!

Q: Any plans on expanding partnership with Cartesi?

K: Great question. Honestly, I didn’t evaluate much yet. However, I believe we can find mutual benefits. Maybe you can share some ideas later? For sure we support the Cartesi token CSTI, as a basic option for our users.

Q: Sure, we would love to collaborate in the near future 🙂 Last but not least, What is the target audience of Atomic Wallet? Do you plan to develop the communities in the other regions?

K: Well, most of our active users are from the US, Canada, Australia, UK, Germany, Spain, France, and the rest of Europe. But It’s surprising we are also growing much in Africa and India now. I think we should translate Atomic for local languages to expand adoption. Most of our users are newbies in crypto. But also lots of experienced users too. They like Atomic wallet simplicity and professional options to manage their crypto.

Q: I would like to have a long term investment with your project but at the moment I have doubts, how can you convince and convince me that this project is very promising?

K: I like this question! Atomic is a decentralized wallet. We don’t store any of your data on our servers, except for some anonymous logs. Your private keys are encrypted locally. Funds are stored on a blockchain.

Q: Does Atomic support any staking?

K: We support various assets for decentralized staking, and will add more!

Q: What will happen to our coins if, let say your company doesn’t want to continue their business? Can we still access the wallet?

K: Even if we shut down our business and turn off our blockchain nodes, the app will still work locally on your device. you will get access with 12 words or private keys in any other wallet app. that’s the power of blockchain!

Q: For project development first of all main priority is having enough funds. Does your team financially capable to run this project?  Do you have enough funds for its development Can you tell us how your project generates the profit?

K: Atomic is a self-funded project. Became profitable since 2019 despite the recent bear market. Basically, it’s a free app. However, we charge a small commission for every exchange or purchase in the crypto wallet. it’s the most popular model on the market.

Q: How can control assets in a wallet which means your security?

K: Atomic is built on top of common open-source libraries by professionals with 5 years of experience in the crypto market. code is regularly audited. so it’s well secured and trusted by over 500.000 users

Q: What is the mission ultimately for Atomic Wallet? What do you want to gain for crypto adoption in general?

K: Our mission is blockchain/crypto adoption for the mass market!

Q: How many developers are working on the project?

K: Atomic has over 30 people in a team. around 10 people in tech – developers/DevOps/testers. etc. over 10 people in support of 24/7 and community. others are for marketing/backend

Q: Are you planning to launch your own credit card or Atomic wallet card for storing cryptocurrency as CRO does?

K: Yep, we plan to launch the Atomic visa debit card later this year. People asked us a lot.

Q: What are the benefits of holding an Atomic Wallet? Does AWC offer any discounts on swaps or to AWC holders?

K: AWC is our native token. We have around 10.000 AWC holders. It’s a utility token, similar to exchange tokens, like BNB.. Holders got profit from staking. up to 23% APY. cashback for every exchange in the wallet. rewards for friends invitations, etc. It’s still a small market cap.

Q: What kind of features does Atomic Wallet have that distinguish it from other similar wallets?

K: We provide the most needed features. Manage, exchange, buy, and stake for over 40 blockchains and any custom tokens.

Q: Atomic Wallet supports domains such as Unstoppable Domains – when are you planning to integrate it into projects such as Cartesi?

K: Why not? Should evaluate this!

Q: Is there an affiliate program to reward those who advertise or transact from outside sources?

K: Yep, we have an affiliate program; however, it’s temporarily suspended. will be resumed soon with a profit share!

Q: Which are upcoming cryptocurrencies in Atomic wallet? How Atomic wallet is different and secure as compared to other wallets?

K: We regularly add new assets to Atomic. However, there is a due diligence process. we evaluate technology, blockchain activity, trading volume, community activity, etc.

Q: You have very important partners such as ChangeNOW, Simplex, Binance DEX. How do you evaluate the support you have received from your partners up to now and how did they contribute to Atomic Wallet’s brand value?

K: Partners provide extra services for our 500.000 users. this generates revenue for everyone. also we promote each other, mutual benefit for everyone!

Q: Does Atomic wallet support the Bsc Platform (bep20)?

K: Can’t say yet. We follow the project but still not decided to support it. It’s too centralized around Binance.

Q: Will it be possible to hold NFT tokens and collectibles in Atomic Wallet? That we could see images of our objects.

K: I like NFT tokens, even if they are not so popular on the market, It’s planned to add in Atomic most likely this year.

Q: About the support for DEX like Uniswap and Polonidex do you have any plans to make it better? I can’t access these services in Atomic wallet but I do in other wallets very easily!

K: You can use Wallet Connect in Atomic to use Uniswap.

Q: With Atomic Wallet being open source for anyone to contribute to the code, is there any security in place if someone codes a hack into the code to steal or create more Atomic Wallet like with what happened with bitcoin private?

K: Atomic uses common open source libraries and regularly audited

Q: Could you explain what is meant by Blue, Silver, Gold, Platinum memberships options in Atomic wallet? What are the advantages of these Memberships?

K: If you hold a certain amount of AWC and use exchange in a wallet, you will get cashback.

Q: How can decentralized wallets be considered within the scope of legal regulation?

K: Great question. Atomic is non-custodial. it’s just software to manage private keys. No need for an e-money license!

Q: Since there are many scams and phishing wallets, how can we verify that the Atomic wallet version is legal and safe?

K: Just download the app from our official website and never share your 12 words with anyone!

We were glad to be hosted by Cartesi on their Telegram. Thanks to the team and all the members of the session!
