Off The Grid is a next-generation Web3 “Extraction Royale” shooter, set in a gritty cyberpunk universe on Teardrop Island. Here players mix Player vs Environment (PvE) survival and Player vs Player (PvP) combat within a high-stakes environment.
The gameplay integrates blockchain elements on the GUNZ network and its Avalanche-based subnet. These enable true digital ownership via NFTs and tokenized assets.
Players earn $GUN tokens during gameplay through missions, extraction, or loot. Meanwhile, one can optionally convert gear and cosmetic items into NFTs for trading inside the on-chain Marketplace. The game is free to play and currently in Early Access on PC (via Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Since its October 2024 launch in Early Access, Off The Grid has attracted over 14 million wallets, with around 500,000 daily active users. It has seen peaks of 900,000 daily wallets and 160,000 concurrent users, thanks to streaming events featuring major influencers like Ninja, TimTheTatman, and Shroud.
